Long and Short Term Effects of Volcanism

Sounds pretty impressive huh?  We read section B 3.3 in the book today about effects that volcanoes have on Earth as well as humans and building and such.  Once we completed that, we completed a reading worksheet about the reading.  Remember....there is a TEST on Friday!!  We will review tomorrow and then the rest is on you to study!!

Mountains and Volcanos

A little bit of reading never hurt anyone!  So, that's exactly what we did!  In class students read section B3.1 (B77-B84) and were to answer either the odds or even questions on page B84.  In addition to that reading, they were to read section B3.2 (B86-B93) and complete the Guided Reading Worksheet (see below)  There was also a volcano crossword for them to do if time permitted.  All those things are down below so check them out.  Have a great weekend and see you Monday!

Continental Drift and Plate Tectonics...

The idea of Continental Drift proposed by Alfred Wegener and isn't the same as Plate Tectonics.  These concepts were covered today as we read in the book pages B14-B19.  The evidence that Wegener used to help support his theory was also covered.  Below is the worksheet started in class.  We will complete it tomorrow in class.  Remember, you can always check a textbook out with me to complete any readings or work.
