Krakatoa!
I was out again today but no biggie! In class we watched the video about Krakatoa. This volcano erupted back in 1883 and was very destructive. Along with the video, students were asked to complete the questions on the worksheet below and turn in at the end of the period. If you were absent, watch the video answer questions and turn in on Monday! Speaking of Monday, see you then!

Thursday News!
In class we did a vocabulary review game. After that we had our vocabulary quiz, I was out today with a substitute but hopefully you all did your best! We will be watching a video tomorrow about Krakatoa! It should take most of the period and be very informative! Have a great rest of the day and see you tomorrow!

Vocabulary Quiz TOMORROW
There is a quiz tomorrow over the vocabulary done the past two days in class. It covers the 20 words and will be in context. Please study tonight and be ready to do great tomorrow on the quiz. The vocabulary assignment: draw and define each word is due tomorrow as well!
*Reminder: We are using our devices (cell phones, ipods, tablets, etc) in class tomorrow for an activity. If you have one, bring it!

Welcome to 2nd Semester!
Volcanoes!
It's 2nd semester, time to buckle down and get busy! We are off and running talking about volcanoes now. We have three types of volcanoes: strato/composite, shield and cinder cones. All have different characteristics. Today in class we focused in general how volcanoes are formed, where they are formed and what their eruptions look like. Feel free to take a look at the powerpoint below to inform yourself of all the great stuff you might have missed today!
